About Cross Streams

Cross Streams is a part of the New Dawn conference which takes place at Walsingham, and is the programme specifically for young people and young adults, with two streams: one for 11-14 year olds and another for those 15+ years.

The actual conference is for all of the family, with stuff for everyone; adults, youth, children and toddlers.  It's been going for over 20 years now, with this year (2008) being the 22nd New Dawn, and attracts up to 3,000 people.  New Dawn has had youth streams for all of these years, but in 2007 Cross Streams @ New Dawn was launched, which attracted nearly 500 young people and young adults between the ages of 11 to 25.

If you have never been before, Cross Streams is where a combination of youth festival, pilgrimage and conference meet - with an opportunity to have a loads of fun, make new friends and come closer to God - but includes much more being part of the conference:

  • a wider range of top-notch speakers from all over the world!
  • it is longer - 6 days in total!
  • caters more for personal spiritual growth and of sharing the good news!
  • including performances from award winning artists!
  • is a pilgrimage, so an opportunity for a grace-filled journey of faith!
  • does not out price anyone - conference fee by donation only!
  • has everything ranging from the Sacraments, lively praise and worship, Eucharistic adoration, great workshops and Live lounge entertainment!
  • no pressure to pray in any way that may feel uncomfortable with!
  • is international - groups from Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ireland will attend!
  • join with and benefit from the main conference and whole New Dawn programme!
